There are a large number of Chinese in the original Idaho Census who were only working visitors, and due to the similarity of their names, it is doubtful that this information would be of use to the genealogist. They have been omitted from this volume except when they are listed as part of another household or born in the United States. In addition columns 14 thru 20, born within a year, married within a year, can't read, can't write, deaf/dumb/blind/insane, male citizen 21, and male citizen vote denied, are omitted, as they provide little information to the genealogist. This film was not in sequence, as I think Mr Clyde Fitzjames went place to place to find the miners, then came back to get the ones he missed, so the film might have 2 Placervilles, 2 Rocky Bars, then some Altanta, then some more Rocky Bar etc. Also the film taker did 2 duplicates which I have identified. 2004 by Maggie Stewart: ======================= (1) There were two enumerators for this census and the page & sheet numbers are all mixed up. The census will be compiled using the page numbers by enumerator for continuity but the original sheet numbers have been retained. (2) The Family Numbers are sometimes there and sometimes not. They are as they appeared in the enumeration.
