Hopefully, everyone who has AOL has used their email at one point or another. Going with that premise, we will continue.

Step 1.Open a New message by clicking on the Write icon on the AOL toolbar. (Versions may vary as to the location and appearance of this Icon.)

Step 2.Type your message. Tell your State Census Coordinator that you are done and all that good stuff.

Step 3.You will see, on the message screen, an Icon for Attachments. It may be a Paper Clip or simply a button saying Attachments.

Open Email Message

Step 4. Once you have located your file on your disk, you highlight it and then click the "Open" button.

Locating Your File

Step 5. You will get a new screen with your file attachment listed. On this dialog box, click the "OK" button. (This "attaches" your file to your email!) You will see below the "cc:" and "bc:" a line showing that the file is now "attached".

Attached!

All Done!!

Step 6. And now, all you have to do is click on the "Send Now" button and that's it! NOTE: After you click the "Send Now" button, you should get a status bar (see right). This is your indicator as to how much of your file has transfered. When it is done, it will disappear. That means your happy little file is on it's way!
