USGenWeb Free Census Project Completion Instructions, Transcriber's Notes
If you are sending a descriptive paragraph to be included with your transcription in the archives, it should be in "Text" format. You can write it using your wordprocessor and saving it as "text", or use the Notepad program that comes with Windows. You may want to write about unusal things you encountered while transcribing your census. Examples are [1]Page numbers, [2]Mistakes made by enumerators (Farmer John listed as female), [3]Statistics about your county, number of families, people, occupations, etc.
