| In 1880 the state of Maryland was divided for enumeration purposes by the Census Bureau into three Supervisory Districts. SD 1 consisted of Baltimore City and Baltimore County, SD 2 of all counties in eastern Maryland, SD 3 of all counties west of Baltimore and Chesapeake Bay.
