The Washington 1890 Federal Population Schedules were completely destroyed by fire in the Commerce Department Building in January 1921. The Special Schedules Enumerating Union Veterans and Widows in Washington do survive, shown below.

In 1900 the state of Washington was divided for enumeration purposes by the Census Bureau into two Supervisory Districts. SD 1 consisted of all counties west of the Cascade Mountains, SD 2 of all counties east of the Cascade Mountains.
